He recognizes her sharp mind, strength of character, and compassion but he does not turn a blind eye to her addiction and is determined that he will help her overcome her need for opium. But Zhi-Gang has his own dark demons to wrestle with and Anna’s battle only reminds him of his own shortcomings and he knows, he must do whatever he can to get her out of China.

Anna is captivated by this man, despite her initial misgivings she finds him a sensitive and gentle lover and soon, he has captured her heart.

Packed with action, suspense and romance, this one of the best Jade Lee novels and a shining star in the Tigress series.
